This is the second in a series and while characters and events from the first aren t strongly represented, it s probably best if you read it before this one.If you read the first one, you probably know what to expect from this one except for the production problems Lucy is as awesome as I expected from the first And Chase is no slouch, either They re another example of two people who just fit one another well, despite their differences Or even because of them, which is totally awesome.A couple t [...]
This book seemed promising, but was poorly executed The end was thrown together The biggest problem, however, was the atrocious editing, or lack thereof I m not sure I ve read such a poorly edited book I ve seen no other mention in other reviews, but I find it hard to believe that only my Kindle version had problems I m used to minor mistakes in books, and while distracting, I can usually overlook them This was like a first draft with corrections thrown in, but the original errors still in place [...]
If you are looking for a lighthearted chick lit romance story to wile away a lazy summer afternoon, then Any Way You Dream It is the book for you.Author Monique McDonell weaves an entertaining tale that follows the story of hard working but down and out Lucy, who gets than a break when wealthy Chase steps in to be her fiance at her high school reunion but can he become her permanent knight in shining armor, and make all her dreams come true Any Way You Dream It was a delightfully sweet romance [...]
I picked up this book as a free book One good thing I can say about it is that it was clean And not too long But man, it just wasn t well written At all I almost stopped before I started about 5 times because it was clear very early on On top of that, the editing was horrible A thousand mistakes I liked the relationship of the main girl and her nieces and nephew That was nice But the writing and editing was almost too distracting to like the story.
In the ongoing discussion of what is Chick Lit and what is Contemporary Women s Fiction, I believe that those authors who dare to take on the deeper issues of life, and create a heroine who is strong and capable, dips their quill in the Contemporary Women s Fiction ink pot.Ms McDonnell s series title could lead one into believing that the fairy tale ending will occur family with money bails abandoned and destitute girl boy out of trouble. In Any Way You Dream It, we meet hard working, loving and [...]
Any Way You Dream It was completely predictable and ended exactly how I wanted it to Unfortunately getting to that end was somewhat painful The book is in great need of an editor There were occasional stretches that were fine, but then there d be several errors a page for a while Occasionally I had no idea what the author even meant Things went on a bit too long, too, like the author was just trying to stretch the length It s the second in a series, but there is no need to read the first book fi [...]
Anyway You Dream It, by Monique McDonell is a sweet story in the Upper Crust series As with the other books I ve read by this author, the proofreading needs to be stepped up Really The story is good but this is just distracting I love the theme of second chances that so often is portrayed in Ms McDonell s stories The characters in this book are kinda too good to be true, but still Good story I recommend it, especially if you don t mind editing misses.
CuteThis was a sweet fairly clean romance No excessive descriptors, no huge obstacles Language was a little rough I would rate this book as moderate in terms of language and sex.
It is a great book to read
i liked the story, overall except for the ending, which seemed contrived and rushed i would have given it 4 stars, but for the atrocious editing Typos, poor grammar, name changes, location changes It read like a draft than a final copy Seriously, lady, get a proofreader before you release another book
3.5 stars I got this book free on and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it I noticed a couple of minor errors, but other than that it was well written and I loved the plot The only thing that stopped me from giving it a higher rating was Lucy For 70% of the book I found her to just constantly whine I understand that she didn t have it easy, but it really irked me that she decided purely based on looks that Chase was arrogant From the moment he introduced himself to her he was nothin [...]
This novel could have been so good It had compelling characters, interesting arcs, and solid messages Tragically, it did not have an editor Jarring pacing, spelling mistakes, out of order scenes not in a literary way , and characters with changing names all kept the story from reaching its potential.
This was a cute book with a female lead who was willing to stand up for what she knew she deserved It really needed a proofreader there were some spelling errors, some scenes that s felt like they had been moved around, and occasionally funky tenses But overall a sweet story and an easy read.
There were far too many editing mistakes, or lack of editing mistakes, in this book There were typos, punctuation missing, letters missing from words, etc The story seemed promising enough but the end was super rushed and kind of over the top If this one had a few rounds of editing and a believable ending, I could rate it much higher.
A cute, fluffy, mostly clean book I got the Kindle edition for free and it had so many grammatical errors that interrupted the story Hopefully, someone will go through and clean it up.2017 Challenge A book involving travel
A fun,flirty and fantastic read
Any Way You Dream It is an entertaining novel about love, loss and learning to pull your life together after tragedy strikes It s filled with messy dysfunctional families and the responsibilities people can feel for their family, despite what they ve put them through Sometimes people are the victims of other people s choices and bad behavior, but it doesn t mean that they can t get the most out of life and be happy despite their hardships.Lucy s life seems like it s a complete mess from her pers [...]
I received a review copyWhat a sweet read This book was quick but filled with fun Chase really did seem too good to be true, but he also came with his own unique set of baggage that we slowly learn about The twist with Lucy s sister was really sad to read about, but added a lot of depth to the story This was chick lit and women s fiction wrapped into one, and was a delight to read I have not read the first book in this series, Any Way You Slice It, but that didn t hinder my reading experience wi [...]
