    Overall pretty good, with a lot of great information in the introduction on working with native plants, and lots of resources for finding native plants and nonprofits and other organizations dedicated to native plants I thought the gardening tips in the introductory material were excellent with entire mini chapters dedicated to topics like site preparation, propagation, counterfeit natives and The book has the perfect tone and level of information for a home gardener The plant listings include [...]

    This is my favorite gardening book for Florida Native plants are wonderful because they are usually either drought tolerant or suited to the ecosystem The only thing I don t like about the book is that so many of the plants are hard to find in nurseries or require wet soil Good pictures help show what the plant looks like, explanations tell how the plant grows.
